BERTHA J. CREECH

ZEBULON – Bertha Jeffreys Creech, 97, died Wednesday. A native of Franklin County she was daughter to the late Johnnie & Gertie Horton Jeffreys. She was a much beloved mother, grandmother, & great grandmother who will always be remembered. She was preceded in death by husbands, LeRoy Strickland & James Powell Creech, son, David L. Strickland, grandson, Michael Woolard, & granddaughter, Debra Lynn Moody.
She is survived by her children, Betty S. Woolard of Knightdale, Mary S. Moody (Lewis) of Raleigh, & Roy T. Strickland of San Antonio, TX, several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Graveside funeral service, 2 pm, Monday, Historic Oakwood Cemetery Mausoleum.
Flowers or memorials to Watkins Chapel Baptist Church, 5897 NC Hwy 231, Middlesex, NC, 27557, where she was a lifelong member, are welcomed..
Visitation Sunday, 2-4 pm, Strickland Funeral Home, 211 W. Third St., Wendell.
