Bennie Lee Griffin, 86, was born July 24, 1935 to the late Carl Lee Griffin and Lillian Brantley Griffin.

Bennie spent his adult life as a devoted teacher in the State of Virginia. The last position he held was Professor of Math at Danville Community College.

He is survived by his brothers, Elmo Griffin (Janice) and Jimmy Griffin (Faye) all of Middlesex; sisters, Magdalene Griffin Snowdon (Richard) of Eufaula, AL and Rachel Griffin Cozart (Edward) of Bailey; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by sister, Barbara Griffin Rogerson.

Due to covid, a private graveside service will be held for the immediate family. The family requests no flowers and/or food. However, the family would greatly appreciate your continued prayers. If you wish, a donation in Bennie’s Memory may be made to a charity of your choice.

Bennie and the family have been greatly blessed to have had Countryside Village, Community Hospice and Pastor Ramon Mizzelle caring for Bennie. They have been wonderful and we will never be able to thank them enough for all they have done for us in our time of need.
