Alford E. Jeffords
June 5, 1947 – September 11, 2023
ZEBULON – Alford E. Jeffords, 76, passed away on Monday, September 11, 2023. He was born June 5, 1947 in Wake County to the late Daniel and Emma Ruth Gibson Jeffords, Sr. Alford worked as a Lumber Sales Associate with Lowe’s Home Improvement. He enjoyed card games, specifically Skip-Bo, and kicking back, watching a couple of his favorite T.V. shows, The Bold and The Beautiful and The Young and The Restless. He had a great affinity for his family, especially his sister, Faye. In addition to his parents, Alford is preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Ann Robbins Jeffords, brother, Daniel Jeffords, Jr. and his son, Timmy Baines.
He is survived by his siblings, Tommy Jeffords (Cindy), Faye Chalk and Brenda King; nieces, Frances King (Ricky), Shirley Jenkins (Ronald), Michelle Derby (Wayne), Mary King, and Amanda Cheek (Derrick); nephews, Danny Jeffords, Terry Chalk (Cindy), Robert King, Joshua Carnea (Carolina), Daniel Shirley (Ellie), and Stormy Carneal (Cheyenne); family friends, Barry Blackman, Rhonda Blackman, and their family.
Funeral Service will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, September 16, 2023 at Union Chapel Baptist Church, 2437 Zebulon Rd., Zebulon, NC 27591. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the conclusion of the service.
