Albert Gerald Holder
June 7, 1968 – January 18, 2026
Albert Holder, 57, of Elm City, North Carolina, passed away on January 18, 2026, in Elm City. Born on June 7, 1968, in Clayton, North Carolina, Albert’s life was a testament to quiet resilience and the enduring beauty found in life’s simple pleasures.
He was a devoted husband to Lisa Holder and a proud father to Micheal Holder and his spouse Kaitlyn Joyner, Crystal Holder, Elizabeth “DoodleBug” Holder, and Travis Whatley. His grandchildren—Lexi Holder, Olivia “Bug” Whatley, Abigail Holder, James Adams, Jaxon Holder, Jeremiah Bunch, and Leo Holder—were the heartbeats of his world. Each one brought him joy that lit up even his most difficult days.
Albert also leaves behind his two brother’s, Jarret Holder and Charles Holder. He was preceded in death by Gerealdine Holder and Ja’Tavious Holder.
A man whose hands were always busy and whose mind never ceased exploring new ways to solve problems, Albert had a natural talent for fixing things—a reflection of both patience and quiet determination. Whether it was a broken appliance, Interior trim or a complex puzzle laid out on the table, he approached each task with calm focus and unwavering resolve. With a full heart in everything he loved and did.
Games and puzzles were more than pastimes for Albert; they were moments of connection—opportunities to laugh with family or challenge himself during peaceful evenings at home. Music played an ever-present role in his life. The sounds of country ballads or rock anthems often drifted through the air around him like old friends keeping him company through every season.
And when it came time too simply unwind after a long day—Albert found comfort in his family. It wasn’t about indulgence but about making and honoring moments big and small with quiet reverence. For Albert it was about making memories, laughing, talking and music. He could talk about his music, and memories as long as the night would let him.
Albert’s legacy is etched not only in the skills he passed down or the memories he helped create but also in the steady love he gave so freely. He moved through life without fanfare but left deep impressions on those fortunate enough to know him—a man who stood strong for others even when storms gathered around him.
May his memory bring comfort to all who mourn his passing and serve as a gentle reminder of strength born from love and simplicity.
